SRUTHY'S EDUTALES

  Mount Tabor Training College , Christmas  celebration ' CASCABEL 2K21 ' was conducted  at the college general hall , on 23rd December , 2021. The programme began with a prayer song , followed by the welcome address by Dr.Sherly Philip. College principal Dr.  Rosamma Philip delivered the presidential  address. Sri Johnson P.P, Principal, St.Stephens higher  secondary school delivered the  Christmas message. Rev.Fr.K.A Mathews gave the benedictory address. MGOCSM Choir presented a group song . Mr.Laby George Jose proposed the vote of thanks and various cultural programmes as  well as Christmas Carol visits to schools were also conducted. The   celebrations    ended with refreshments and sharing of sweets.

Community Learning Programme 2020- 2022 conducted a programme in the name "Gurusahitham"on the theme 'come ,learn, progress through together'. It was Inaugurated by Dr Cyraic Thomas, former Vice Chancellor MG University. The programme began with a prayer song conducted by the MTTC choir. After that a visual bouquet was conducted (video representation). It was followed by the welcome speech done by Dr. Rosamma Philip. The presidential address was shared by Rev Fr Benjamin Mathew (Secretary of MTTC). After that Rev Fr K A Mathews rendered the speech of honouring the guest. It was later on followed by the 'Gurusahitham' offered by the chief guest Dr Cyraic Thomas (Former MG University Vice Chancellor). Then reflections was done by Mrs Devikakrishna (student representative).

  SCHOOL VISIT TO ST.STEPHEN'S HSS, PATHANPURAM Our school induction took place on 20th December, 2021. The whole class was divided into two groups with half of the students visiting St.Stephen's HSS, Pathanapuram. We reached the school by 10 AM in the morning and the school head master Sri. Sleeba Varghese heartily welcomed us. Through his words, we got a clear picture of the school and its working. We were also given opportunity to obseve the infrastructures of the school and we, the English students even got a chance to observe a class led by Mrs. Tiji, who readily accepted our request of observation.  All the efforts which we took before and after the school induction helped us to understand the hardwork behind the profession of teaching. We realised that as prospective teachers, we must know the mental capacities and feelings of the students infront of us, rather than merely exhibiting our subject knowledge.                                                              On 10th December 2021, second year B.Ed students arranged a freshers day "JAGAPOKA 2K21" for the first  year B.Ed students.  After the formal meeting, first year students actively participated in a series of games organised by the senior students. Everyone was given an opportunity to take part in the games and it was a minor ice breaking session. The programme was very entertaining and it helped in the formation of a bond between the first year  and second year students. The event reached its conclusion with the mesmerizing cultural events of the second year students.
