SRUTHY'S EDUTALES

 I have completed 13 days in the school, and now its time to take a temporary break because of our upcoming second semester university examinations. During this week i completed the poem and the short story 'The Last leaf' by O.Henry. I tried my level best to transact the content in a way that is easily understood by the learners. I also tried to be a part of the school functioning and other activities like inauguration of the school plan, curriculum revision discussions, examination invigilation,  question paper sorting and so on. It was also the time of youth festival and i also supported the teachers in training the students in various programmes. Towards the end of the week i also conducted a diagnostic test to check on the difficulties of my students. This 13 days was a great experience for me and i hope will be able to gain more when i rejoin after the break.

  Our first phase teaching internship began on 4th November 2022, and today we completed almost a week in the school. For the first two days we were unable to began the classes because of the Revenue District Science Fest held at the school. On the third day, i got my first entry to IX-I , where i am assigned to teach. My mentor teacher Ms. Bindhu M John, introduced me to the students and as the  first day, i utilized the day to know my students and to establish a rapport with them. As Malayalam medium students, they shared their insecurities of learning English and i assured them i will help them to overcome their fear. So during this week, i began a poem 'On Killing a Tree ' by Gieve Patel. I devoted this week to bring them to my track and generate a genuine interest on learning English.
