SRUTHY'S EDUTALES

 The week went well and i was able to complete around five lesson templates in my class. The week also witnessed several programmes of cultural and international importance such as the Reading Day, Yoga Day etc. As a teacher trainee, i was given chances to participate in most of these programmes. I guided my students in preparing reading day quotes and even assisted the physical education teacher in arranging and practising the students for their Yoga day programme. Meanwhile i was also working towards the completion of my project and i finished conducting the pretest for both the non treatment control and experimental groups. I was also assigned with preparing a question a question paper for the upcoming unit test.  Regarding my portions, I have completed my first chapter and from the next week onwards, i have to begin the new chapter.  19th June 2023 is an important day for the cultural realm of Kerala as today we celebrate ' READING DAY'  in the memory of  Sri. P N Panicker. The prominence of the day is rightly considered by the school ans as a result it conducted various programmes in association with the day. Around 10 am in the morning, students assembled and showed up a 'PUSTHAKATHALAPPOLI', which emphasised the importance of books in building the morale of students. Th programme was inaugurated by the principal in the presence of the head master, and other subject teachers.  Following the event, the Vidhyarangam Kala Sahitya Vedi conducted a formal meeting on  P N Panicker commemoration where the members of the samiti recalled the valuable contributions of Sri.Panicker towards the establishment of libraries all over Kerala.

 Our second phase teaching internship began on 14th june, Wednesday. We have already took permission from the head master Sri.Roy Mathews sir who welcomed us to the school wholeheartedly. We reported to the headmaster around 9.30 in the morning.There are four students from the English optional including me, and three from the Mathematics optional. As we have already collected our respective timetables from mentor teachers. I am asked to begin the very first chapter of unit 1 of class VIII. The class assigned to me is VIII E with Ms. Sunitha Varghese as my mentor teacher. I met my students, established a rapport with them and after a while began my lesson. Within three days of this week, i was asked to complete upto a certain paragraph of the lesson, 'THE MYSTERIOUS PICTURE', which i was able to complete.
